Burning CHTD treated brown coal in DICE is as clean as gas and possibly cheaper.

Burning CHTD treated brown coal briquettes or coldry pellets in a black coal power station is as clean as burning black coal in a black coal power station, hence the name BCE(black coal equivalent)

Burning CHTD treated brown coal briquettes or coldry pellets in an existing brown coal power station in LV, in a shandy mix of around 10% will achieve about a 5% reduction on current CO2.

None of the above are green solutions although the DICE solution is by far the greenest.

The fact that DICE can work so well with intermittent renewables is the only reason it may be looked upon favoureably by the greens IMO.

The other 2 scenarios above are no chance of ever being looked upon as green solutions.
