    while agree with the fisrt two comments on this thread i do agree with some of the later ones. Perth is struggling, i got an email from a someone in my work network yesterday to inform me he's been made redundant, i thought he had the most secure job of anyone i know. No one is immune, i wont be taking out debt in this environment.
    And yeah you are right the layoffs are increasing, this is only the beginning, as more companies lay people off it will trigger others to, a domino effect.
    And government borrowing money for infrastructure projects yeah, it creates employment but only short term and it hinders the earnings of businesse's in close proximity. I did some construction work at a pub the other week, road works are going on out the front, the owners stressed to the max, business is down 35%, he's in the red and its only been 6 weeks, another 8 months to go, government is compensating him nothing. the roadworkers are only working a 38 hour week, no nights,no weekends. It will most likely bankrupt him.
