Ok golden6....
Just finished the 100 year old man book..
What a clever story teller.Who would think that this would take the old 'if this is gonna be a story,it may as well be a good one' theme to such lengths.Pity so many people had to be killed in making the book.LOL!
I certainly laughed out loud at the Power Pole incident, but the 'distraction' scene at Vladivostok had me in stitches.Amazing!
And the one-liners.
Poor old Allan was at war with the wily fox, when by accident, set alight the shed near the chicken coup, which was storing some explosives.Up it went.Took the chicken coup and Allan's house with it.Thrown through the air and with the house burning, the police and ambulance soon arrived to find Allan sitting outside in the snow."He's ok" said the ambulanceman,"but we will need the social worker to arrange alternative accomodation."
So the social worker shows up and after checking his paperwork, says to Allan...
"Now Allan,I believe you have just blown up your house?"
Classic stuff!
Thanks golden6.....Many more folk will read this now, after I promote it.
I might get some weird looks, though, when I tell them that golden6 recommended it.They might even think I'm a Soviet spy.
