There have been reports that TPG was looking at AAPT etc, but commentators were saying that they would not pay too much. there definitely seem to be strong synergies for TPG. No tsure if they paid too much, but they are sure able to digest it soon enough (to follow greenleaf's analogy).

True, gosh. Lots of excitement around the tiddlers, and get lots of fun out of them too. But TPG is one of my largest investments, and even larger today. It plods along, increasing profits, cashflow, dividends etc at a predictable 30% pa. Very boring ):. No wonder only a few of us keep an eye on it.
