    groveller,

Blackwood was drilled deeper than pre-drill TD.

Check out the slide "Migration Fill & Spill"

    http://www.meoaustralia.com.au/icms_docs/77168_06082010_-_NTP68_Farmout_Opportunity_4MB.pdf

The depocentre in the Malita is 10km+ deep and is the hot gassy source rock that has produced the HC's that feed up into Evans Shoal. Heron appears to be drilling close to the kitchen, porosity is low . . . quarts growths are reducing reservoir permeability.

BUT, the Evans Shoal reservoir is shallower than Heron, and has produced much better flows, and Blackwood is shalier again.

Back to the slide (above), IF as I have interpreted, the Plover is deeper in B-2 than in B-1, then Blackwood East is in play, and the size of Blackwood, just got a whole lot larger. MEO suggested the deeper target had a low probability of success, however, given ENI have both the 3D seismic and confidential Evans Shoal data, as much as it annoys me, I'll back the Italians on this one.

I also here last month when the NT announced major development project updates, they listed Evans Shoal as a LNG/Methanol project. Somebody can find a link online.
