I expected an announcement yesterday or today regarding completion of processing.

Perhaps they want to strip the mill down and extract the gold in circuit before making the announcement. It would make sense to announce actual figures for the total run. I would guess around a week to dismantle and clean everything, so probably going to be next week now.

Tachyon_Nova, I think you underestimate how important the trial mining is.

I can't really comment on the geology, perhaps Helmenesh, Bobminer or others could elaborate on this?

From more mechanical and management perspectives, the trial provides important information on how to mine, techniques to use, what sort of equipment will be required (eg simple excavator, drill and blast, rockhammer etc for digging the ore), how various types of plant cope with the ore (hardness, product sizes etc - especially for crushing), what plant is most economical for refining.

All these factors, combined with ore location, vein widths, depths, how much dilution is likely with various extraction methods, whether veins splay out as they get deeper, do they tend to run in relatively straight lines.....

All of this kind of information combine to give information to guide the mine plan without spending the massive capex traditionally used.
