Government tasked to help Z-Explorer to establish a dialogue with residents

Today, December 10, the Parliamentary Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex and Subsoil instructed the government to assist in establishing a dialogue between the company Z-Explorer and the local population of the rural council Kadamjai Maidan district of Batken region.

In its decision the committee shall include the following:

- State Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources should ensure absolute control over the fulfillment of the terms of the license application for the field number 1 Shambesay;

- State inspection on environmental and technical safety entrusted with the control of the Company performing works Z-Explorer under the legislation in the field of environmental protection and industrial safety;

- The company is recommended to operate openly, promptly and regularly inform the local community about the planned and ongoing work;

- In accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic Z-Explorer is also recommended to consider the possibility of an agreement on cooperation with representatives of local communities, local authorities in order to improve socio-economic conditions of local residents.

Recall, the residents of the villages located near the gold deposit Shambesay, 18 October this year, attacked the office of the company-developer Z-Explorer in Kara-Zhygach and destroyed all the property.
