    Actually he was wrong, as the timeframe mentioned by the Club of Rome report was before the end of the last century. In the long term, as you say...well anything is possible given a long enough timeframe.

    Unfortunately(or fortunately), that experience, coupled with Erhlich's seeming self evident prognosis(that turned out to be spectacularly wrong)+ a few other "expert" opinions, has given me a set against doom mongers. We may actually be doomed in some way, but it can be almost guaranteed it will be by something no one saw coming...lol
