The world seems to be passing me by.
I'm a lover of quality bourbon. It's been a long time since I regularly drank beer, but I thought I knew my beers....English and Australian.
I remember when Redback, the wheat beer was the new thing. And Corona was a nice beer to drink for a non beer drinker lol. Peroni isquite nice with a spicy pizza!
Yesterday I was at my work Xmas party at a Sydney pub. As per usual it was only beer, cider, wine and sparkling wine on the tab. The beers they had on tap were perplexing. They had a Coopers pale ale. at least I knew Coopers. But then they had another one with an elephant, and 3 numbers, 47, 55 and 69.
I settled on 69 for reasons unknown :-) Whatever, all beer tastes like crap to me.
I then made a sly joke...What happened to Old and New. No one laughed.
Is this just a Sydney thing? We talked about it later,do we have too many choices these days?
