    I see sheer and absolute hypocrisy and gross incompetence by Demetriou, because:

    - he set the tone, many years ago, when he allowed, and encouraged, the WCE to set its own agenda leading to rampant drug taking at that Club;

    - his lack of due diligence in the job is hardly credible, when he didn't even know that Hird and Tanya's understanding of their agreement was very clear; that Hird would continue to be paid by the EFC. How can a person in charge of a multi billion organisation be so ignorant of such an important decision.

    To declare that this 'Australian sport' biggest drug scandal is ridiculous in the extreme, and demonstrates very clearly your gross and blatant anti-Essendon prejudice. The WCE Drug Scandal was by far the worst incident of rampant drug taking in Australian sporting history, which will forever be a dark stain on the reputation of the head AFL honcho and the WCE hierarchy. The incidence of rampant drug, under the very noses of its management, that took place at WCE over a number of seasons, not just one, was a disgrace, and has never been fully explained. That's not to to understate the mistakes made by the EFC management. But it is a blip compared to the mistakes that which occured at WCE.

    Demetriou has clearly demonstrated that he is not competent to run such a large and complex organisation.
    For the long term good of the game, He must go. NOW!
