Getting back to the original topic....I think its time for Mr D to consider his future running the AFL. This whole thing has been a farce from day one. We had a big press conference announcing the "darkest day in Australian sport", it gets dragged out all season, and then it gets all swept under the rug withina week and Hird gets told he should take a holiday all to avoid a messy court battle that the AFL didn't have the guts for.
I don't have a problem with Hird getting paid. If a player gets banned by the tribunal he still keeps getting paid. Surely this would have been covered off in all the negotiations. If not then Mr D looks even more stupid than he already does with his past "tanking doesn't exist" statements.
