Couple of images while we wait for the news frm Block 105.

The first image is from NEN's release back in the day, with the 2Dseis data. This section runs almost west to east towards CNOOC's 3.5 Tcf DongFang (DF11) field. This was developed in 2 phases in 2003 & in 2006.

The area of interest is to the west of DF11 diapir, which is where DF13 & CLST1 r located.

DF13 has had a few appraisal wells drilled. 1 of which flowed 42.4 MMcfd (TD was 3168m, which is deeper then CLST1's 2867m). Attached r couple of images that I looked up last nite from a March 2013 article by CNOOC. Most of the pdf is corrupted due to the calligraphy issues, except the tables & diagrams that r in English.

Another observation is that as one goes deep at DF13, the over-pressure zone appears between the basal Pliocene & Upper Miocene period (Huangliu formation).

We had that O/P 'marker' at 2568m at CL-ST1, so there's a good possibility of a close match with DF13 & CL-ST1, just need more info released on ENI's testing plans.

IMHO, zones referred to as 4.7 & 5.5 Ma should b tested first, as u generally test frm bottoms-up. The upper 3 zones r behind 9" casing, so that section is safe for now.

Anyway, here's the Neon seis line towards DF11 which has shallower sandy reservoir, followed by CNOOC's images. Sorry for the long post, I think this was needed to justify the analogy to the nearby fields in the Yinggehai basin.




Next up is CNOOC's map showing the DF13 wells and a Xsection trending NE-SW illustrating the lens like sandy reservoirs.





Lastly the depths denoting the payzones for DF13 wells with the gas breakdowns/composition (eg: 61.7% is C1 etc).
