thanks towie, tax dept holding things up, surprise surprise.
i am not totally convinced they would trade as high as you say after the capital return, possible yes, but the key thing for me is eventually it looks like a good risk/reward trade off, rather than making a killing selling the stock soon after it goes ex capital return, it may mean holding until the ultimate wind up/ sale, but I maybe be able to live with that.
but it appears to me an under researched situation, some impatient sellers in the market, has maybe brought about an attractive play.
