Not so sure I agree with that Jin. It's a well known fact that retail investors provide a listed company with liquidity in its stock (and therefore the associate sp fluctuations), whilst the big boys provide the company the necessary funding for their business initiatives.

In my view, the sp movement today could be explained simply by the punters taking positions in the morning in anticipation of another massive rise like yesterday. They waited out till the arvo to see if there was gonna be a late rush and when that didn't happen, they all flocked to the exit with the expectation of a retrace.

Amidst all of that, there could well be some big boys at play, but I think the general volatility all came down to retail players.
