Considering GEM has just purchased 29 centers end of Sept, the biggest purchase bunch since 2011, i would be hardly critical of them not immediately buy another lot right away. plus it's holiday season after all. 1H calendar year is always the lower earning half in childcare centers, so I'd expect any new purchase be announced around late Feb or March 2014.
Agree that It's always worth watching out on the company raising money for the sake of paying out in div. however, GEM EPS for the last 12 months until Jun 13 has gone up ~13%. I'd rather them pay out the earning in proportion instead of spending shareholders' money to expand for the sake of expansion.
