Either in lab, or by a handheld point and shoot device its rather standard, simple and provides instant estimates. XRF is accurate for just about all elements, but definitively NOT gold. Its good for known mineralisation, not so great for regional exploration and trace elements.

BTB - Massive as in fine, dense mineralisation. "a mass of crystals", and strictly not "massive" as in "large".


To me the cores look good, not spectacular. If we start pulling out solid yellow/golden cores of pure chalco then i'll get excited and im sure the market would too. These cores look typical of what you'd expect given the grades and nothing more. The good part about it, however, is the increased size of the ore zone itself - especially near surface.
