Certainly the Tanami desert area has been having some rain, not sure how much Old Pirate has been getting.
The nature of ABU's initial mining operations are going to be pretty straight forward, so should have no problems in or out of the wet season.
I would think that as many workers as possible would be going home for a Christmas break during this lull for ABU? I'd say that surface sampling, looking for more veins and outcrops, and further investigations into which of 30+ mineralized zones to drill next, will continue until the mining licence is granted.
