Chuck, Just a dabble trade in BTC. At least you can get a return while you are in there which I find interesting. With the BTC you can buy GHS (computing power hosted in a data centre) earning you money (Currently running at APPROX $10/W (yes week) for every $100 invested. Good return to me 10%pw CEX.IO) while you await a gain on your BTC if any.

Records stop for Rabbit Flat at 1998 on BOM but go over to Weather Zone after that by the looks of it. You can have a look in there if you want to sign up. I would start at 2005 Jan/Feb/Mar and look at those months for a few yrs if you are keen.
Yes you are correct that it is not common but I am aware of 2 big rain events in the last 7 years so that is one average every 3.5 yrs lately. Which makes it not uncommon in my book. Big rain events like that shut down or disrupt the mining and as indicated can have serious consequences if continued light falls keep the road cut for fuel etc deliveries.
My point still is that the statment
"The nature of ABU's initial mining operations are going to be pretty straight forward, so should have no problems in or out of the wet season."
is not valid in the area that ABM in mining.
Rain occasionally greatly disrupts mining.
