"Disco Stu, so if I don't like Koreans because they beat, mistreat and eat "man's best friend" I'm a racist?"

Haji, because Koreans are not of your race and with today's sensitivity, people will look at that as racist. If you were to say, "i don't like the French because they eat frogs", most wouldn't even bat an eyelid. Strangely, if it were said by a black person, again, people would even worry about that statement. The world is full with double standards and there are plenty of sensitive white people who tell you how you should think.

Your statement is very much a generalisation and could also be could an ignorant statement as many, if not most women do not eat dog (and some men). Therefore, because you are not of their colour/race, it could be qualified as a racist comment. People are not so forgiving these days and you don't get the benefit of the doubt for making and ill informed comment.

You just need to choose your words carefully these days as we are a much more sensitive lot.

I listened to an interview with Alec Baldwin last night and he said his common line is, "I am sorry if my words offended you". He knows that on the whole, most are not offended by what he says or do, so he just apologises to those who it offended (the ones that make the most noise usually).
