I do not believe Australians in general are racist but there are with out doubt racist people here
most of them scared little people with big mouths.
As for why are other ethnis groups speaking out against racism

the attention of racist attitudes in Australia tends to move from one ethnic group to another.
in the 60's and 70's it was the Italians and greeks, the attention then moved to the Asians, and now the MEs
and ALL these groups spoke out at the time of the racist attitudes they had encounted from sections of the Australian community and still do speak out about it
But then we all know how you like to ignore reality
