So the lower the Aus dollar goes, the better it is for Aussie Gold Miners, however it is somewhat offset by the rise in cost of Fuel, Machinery etc?

Also, what is the relationship between the US Price of Gold and the Aus price of Gold. Is it simply just a conversion of exchange rates, or is it more involved than that?
