There is a reasonable arguement that LYC board should act in the interests of its major institutional shareholders.
If these instos are short at present, then should LYC still act in their interests?
Major instos have many funds under management, some long on LYC long term and others short on LYC short term so it is easy for them to borrow from the longs and short while containing both transactions inhouse.
It will certainly be interesting to see how and when it all pans out.
