If ABU holders are frustrated over the recent rise in SLR then they need to look at the bigger picture. A year ago ABU was 4c and is now very near its multi year lows at 2.2c, i.e. down 45% in a year. SLR has doubled off its lows to 69c in a month. While some holding ABU may be frustrated by that rise, SLR was around $3.30 a year ago so even after it doubled over the last 4 weeks, it is still down by 80% over the year. ABU doesn’t look so bad for a gold stock especially for a non producer. As I have said often enough ABU has outperformed most peers (explorers) by a large margin and it has outperformed most producers as well over the last 1-2 years. For a gold company, longer term holders have little to complain about with this company’s relative performance, especially for an explorer! However I’m sure the complaining won’t stop until we are in an established strong up trend again.
