George has held the highest and most influential position in this Company for longer than anyone else over the last 7 years. Yes George has been a very important person in SDL over a long time. I feel he has lost some of his power in the industry and power over important people from some of his very important contacts in the Iron Ore Industry. I feel like a lot of us older people, he has found it hard to keep up with progress in not just the Iron Ore Industry, but in other facits of how life is changing and the way companies do business know a day's. In the past George would have given his word and taken the word of others as gospel, that counts for nothing any more.
George's heart is most probably still in it, but like me is getting past his use by date when it comes to understanding the changes going on in the industry with the way they are doing a lot of bluffing and going back on their word.
In my opinion it is not just the Chinese doing the bluffing. Core Mining/Glencore are bluffing about building roads/track and trucking 3 Mtpa 550kls by road, including barging the iron ore the last part of the journey to Port.
