David - I am 99% certain they will P&A this well (no matter how well it tests) for two simple reasons:

    1. In an offshore situation (for what we all hope is a large field) there will need to be a platform. Of course - you only want one of those so you want it optimally located on the seabed so you can drill all of your production wells from the platform. Once they drill an appraisal well(s) they will know the optimum loction and drill all the production wells from there.

    2. To suspend the well - and then find later it is too far away from the production facility, means you need to bring a rig back ($$$) to P&A it. All the JV want from this well is a production test which they can then model a development scenario from.

Timelines - well that has been discussed - but anything from 5 (absolute best case) to 10 years - but don't worry - again I am 99% sure NEN will be long gone by then - either as a company or by selling out.

All we want is a good test - nothing more!
