It really is a silly topic.
It will never be changed while Australians who love living here continue to do so.
The day has grown and grown in popularity all over the country.
And how the debate turned into what ' we ' did to the aboriginals is also null and void.
None of us were here and were to blame for it..we said sorry ( which i did not agree with ) and it is time to move on.
If the aboriginals ( and others) do not like the welfare they receive, or the mining royalties they take , then do not take them and denounce Australia as home.
Simple.
