What a nice way for someone to be preparing for a takeover and not having to pay a large premium for it. If the broker or whoever has been manipulating this stock for a while now let the stock run then assuming it did get close to its $1.25 valuation then they would need to offer a premium to the share price averaged out prior to the takeover announcement, however if they can keep the share price at the level it is now then they will have the luxury of then telling existing shareholders that they are offering them somewhere in the vicinity of a 56% premium to the current shareprice which in my mind is a nice and simple way of getting what they want at what will be a bargaim price to them but will seem like a lucrative offer to exisiting shareholders. That being the case then rather than worrying about the broker manipulating the shareprice why not join him and be part of his master plan.
