Strange that information based on unconfirmed reports is put out in the media and the government wont confirm one way or the other whether they are true or not. I mean if what is claimed has occurred you would think the government would want to advertise that fact both as publicising it as a deterrent measure against people smugglers and for political advantage.
Thats why secrecy is a problem. It leads to un-necessary suspicion as to the veracity of hearsay reports from the jakarta post and /or Australian media.
