Leba, I agree with your point but would add that the "main game" is to make a profit and protect that profit. Imo small O&G companies need diversification so they are not dependant on one prospect for their future. (Check NEN out to see what happens if things go wrong)

At face value the West Klondike is insignificant but it does have potential for field development. The 10% WI was a cheap entry to the field and I expect the plan is for more wells once the infrastructure is complete.

In December 2007 when Amedeus took up 31% WI they described WK as below.
"targeting fault block closures which have been identified on 3D seismic data, all of which are in close proximity to analogous offset production. These have the potential to contain significant reserves in the range of 3-5 million barrels of oil and 5-12 billion cubic feet of gas per prospect, at depths ranging from 11,000 to 13,500 feet. "
Note: Amedeus sold their WI later to focus on other projects.

For interest this is the area around our well showing the surrounding wells. Like Napville modern drilling methods and 3D are finding new targets not identified in the early days so this one could surprise.

PS. Yesterday interesting and got some 0.009's which I forgot about.
    Opinion only, Enjoy the weekend
