Here are some comments surrounding the REACH2HD trial from the Dr. Jody Corey-Bloom 2012 Research update, where the UCSD (Univ. of San Diego) had the largest participant group of 30. 2nd. paragraph may show some findings even coming out of Reach2HD....and I want to say that someone (Rossa) was doing a special iron sub-study in one of the trials, that I heard from Kadaicher.

at 51:40 okay, so I promised you some information about Reach2HD.....explains study phases and purposes of each..."it's very interesting, it's randomized, it's double-blind, it's placebo controlled, we're looking at a compound called PBT2...a copper-zinc ionosphore...a chelating agent...perhaps this therapy will resorb the huntington plaques...also being looked at in AD, and in AD there has been some promising early data already...two published papers cited......seems to be alot of fun, people come and like it, there are cognitive assessments, physical exams, eye testing, blood draws, and the eye testing is kinda fun because we think...we're actually, we're working with...
At about 54:10 Dr. Leah Levi, a neural-opthamologist, and she actually thinks that there might be some changes in the optic nerve and maybe the retina early in HD that maybe we don't know about yet. So there might be some things that we could actually show, or demonstrate, ya know, pretty early on....this vid is a month old...so we have 13 people already...and I think most people really seem to enjoy the study.. Nobody's keiled over (laugh)..seems to be well-tolerated, and most people feel pretty good on it

Keep in mind that in Huntingtons, and even in the ACR-16 there was also a focus on eye testing and movement also as a component of Huntington's testing results.
