there was a case recently where a school outing to a mosque was compulsory and any that didnt attend failed - even with parental consent however so many parents arced up they changed their tune. the damage was done however by revealing their true motives.
i was born in the 50s and went thorugh religious studies. i was a dead set athiest and darwinian till my 30s.
religious studies at school hasnt done me any damage.
even if what lapdog says is true and the constitution is archaic this does not alter the fact that our laws were gleaned from mother england and common law which stems from the bible.
this needs to be taught in schools - we are losing our identity (the recent tee shirt debacle e.g.) and the current curriculum, actually for many years now, goes out of its way to avoid any mention of our true beginnings.
