dark field microscopes (DFM)
morning all,
I want to look at and photograph some frozen H2O crystals.
If anyone has done this or has experience with DFM's with photographic capability - I would value your opinion please.
My general questions at present are --
'what mag. would I need to look at individual crystals?'
'If a particular scope has photographic capabilities - can common digital cameras connect to it - eg. Canon slr's or other?).
If you are experienced in photographing the crystals - what problems are encounted?
I assume thin specimens are required - how do you get the specimens thin? How thin? How do you handle thin ice?
Etc. etc.
