Some years back, there was wall to wall conservative governments in this country, and many of the right were prematurely celebrating the death of the Labor Party. Of course. that did not happen,

There was also a time when there was wall to wall Labor governments in this country, and many were talking of a new era of politics in this country.

All these talks of the death of Labor are just hyperbole, rhetoric, not supported by historical facts.

We are lucky that in this country each of the major political parties has a chance to govern the country, and this is very good for our parliamentary democracy.

There are the occasional springklings of minor parties winning seats during times when the major parties are not quite meeting the expectations of the people. The major party that takes notice of such discontent will and does win election.
