No, just that there is a sort of correlation identified by sociological research.

May I ask then, what was your motivation for spending your hard-earned by getting heavily tattooed? To me this current penchant for body disfigurement is an amazingly crass phenomenon which seems to have sprung up from a low base over the last five years. And why is it that many individuals have their tats limited to one arm? Which arm is the preferred arm, and why? Is it anything to do with handedness? Something to do with Maori song-lines perhaps? Does it come from the New York subways? Why do more RL players than AFL and soccer players sport tats? Anything to do with sexual preference or availability? Do tats facilitate bonding with peer groups or provide some sort of not so subliminal message to others e.g: don't step on me? Will post peak oil lead to a peaking of the tats phenomenon as bogans run out of readies?

And I just love watching the antics of people with tats, particularly when there is a few of them together.

A sociologist's goldmine - quite a few PhD's in this one. The mind boggles.
