    http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/features/green-dream-on-ice-as-coal-frenzy-grips-europe-and-renewables-lose-their-attraction/story-e6frg6z6-1226799246334#

america has considerably cheaper energy costs than europe - and manufacturing is returning to the usa. cheap energy costs in america, are thanks to fracking for unconventional gas. jobs go to where electricity prices are the cheapest

renewable subsidies add heaps to the cost of electricity - thus costing jobs.

germany is building heaps of coal fired power stations - and burning lignite coal - which is the dirties to the coal - because germany got rid of nuclear.

in the first week of december, wind and solar virtually shut down - which off course highlights the dangers of relying on renewables.

china is increasing coal production by 100million tons per year, and in a few years time, the increase will be 800m tons - this is new production - on top of the present production of over 3.6 billion tonnes of coal.

india has an increasing appetite for energy - it is going to come from fossil fuels.

it seems that in one interview, that flannery was crapping on about china reducing reliance on coal.

it seems that about half of australian emissions could be from cattle

watso is not sure how a carbon tax in australia is supposed to save the great barrier reef, or stop bushfires. the danger is that australia has voters who seem to believe this rubbish.

the greens want to shut down australian coal mines - australia produces about 500m tons per year. watso is not sure if closing down the australian coal industry will do all that much - considering that in a few years, china will be producing about 4.5bn tons per year.. any drop in australian exports, will be taken up by other producers, as there is a bit of surplus production capacity in the world.

a lot of voters simply have no idea, and if the DAP is going to cost heaps less than carbon taxes - then it is a price to pay to keep some ignorant voters happy
