I know you do not suffer fools lightly, manny1970 and I can relate as to why this stuff pisses you off, but

"Every religion is just like a gang in which you must abide by the rules or face the consequences.

You will realize this with age and experience."

Isn't that life in general? Work, marriage, any relationship, even a game of golf is played by the rules, driving a car etc. We are a gregarious animal that is driven to play by the rules. Out of 7 billion of us only a very small percentage really goes off the rails, and a goodly percentage of those can be put down to mental illness.

All I'm trying to say is that even the non-religious are forced to or subjected to abide by somebody else's rules. True, religion can embrace the most impossible suppositions, and elevate very ordinary people to positions of power, not only religion. Have at look at some of the fools who run corporations or the dills who govern us, past, present and future. Religion of various faiths can also produce the very best of human beings.

Every religion is just a spin-off from a previous religion.

Nobody knows anything about the nature of God. All we can do is see the evidence of some creative force far greater than the sum of the parts.

Allah is the very same God of the Christians, Jews, Hindus, Baha'is etc. And the undeclared God of the Buddhists. One big happy family.
