My, oh my. How times change!

I remember most folks cheering the establishment of the GLD ETF and dismissing me as some sort of crackpot when I raised what to me were pretty obvious issues at the time like:

"Why would banksters heavily short paper gold on paper exchanges like Comex form a gold ETF to promote to large and small investors the purchase of physical gold, so increasing the demand and price of physical gold and pushing their paper shorts further into the red?"
