Disco... you are clueless with yr constant criticism of South Africans. Without the foresight of South Africa the white rhino would have been long extinct. South Africa has almost as much game as rest of Africa put together, apart from elephant. There are 10,000 game farms and its a multi billion rand business. Huge amounts spent at game auctions. Namibia imported many of its black rhino from s.africa to rebuild their numbers. Yes, SA has lost almost 1,000 rhino to poachers in 2013 but that's because: 1) its got the most rhino, 2) it has a long border with Mozambique and Zimbabwe from whence the poachers come esp when entering Kruger. Namibia's main border is with SA. Yet where Namibia extends along the caprivi strip with Angola, Zambia etc poaching is rife. Elephant esp are massacred. Rhino long gone in the caprivi. So thanks to SA farmers numbers of all animals have grown massively in past 25 yrs. Rest of Africa except Nambia (parts of) and Botswana are the only others to have any sucess re conservation. Rest of continent has seen game decimated and that includes kenya and Tanzania. i could post a 100 links but just this one paints the picture of the absolute horror most of Africa has become.
