In the unlikely case if Telstra go broke, and the network is up for grabs how long will people be able to supply 'great services' for on the existing network. It is debatable whether there are great services now compared to what should be available.
The network is clapped out. It needs to be upgraded. Telstra are willing to upgrade, but rightfully want protection on there investment.
Who else is willing to do it?
