Thank you Mr Gordon, a nice post and for the most part I agreed with it.

I think you would agree that it has been written in the holy books that mankind has been made in the likeness or image of God. Seeing as we all look different this likeness must refer to the soul. If the soul is a likeness or the image of God, then if it is not immortal then likewise, God is not immortal. We, both you and I, know that God had no beginning and will not corrupt over infinite time.

If you have an open mind and love God as much as you suggest then this understanding will eventually reach you.

The soul is not a combination of elements, it is not composed of many atoms, it is of one indivisible substance and therefore eternal. It is entirely out of the order of the physical creation; it is immortal!

I hear the words used very often now by JWs, 'open mind'. It comes up many times in conversation. Open mindedness requires the independent investigation of all truth, not just following the edict of the Ruling Council. That having been said, I have the greatest respect and admiration for Jehovah Witnesses. Their coming down our street as I write and they look positively glowing. I will invite them in for a cup of tea.
