XRF recently got a write up (not a formal recommendation) in Market Analysis, an NZ based share tip sheet that has been running for 33 years.
The publication has a track record of 14% p.a. compounding on a rebalanced portfolio basis over that 33 years or 21% p.a. compounding on a non-rebalanced basis.
MA hasn't had good timing in its last two recommendations - AAX and ACG - just before poor announcements and share price downdrafts.
However, MA talks about XRF as the type of investment that may perform well over a several year horizon.
IMO timing the entry is always important. No point paying too much/ entering too early and then coping initial losses.
I'm with you Mike - storm clouds ahead IMO based on a range of indicators.
