You conveniently forgot to mention that the rent figure was over 35% of the renters income for between 38% and 54% of the people surveyed . Looks a bit different now doesn't it ?

Here's a link for 1985 car prices . They were much dearer then than they are now . Or do you not want to include cars as well ?

Your comment on the cost of living . Australia regularly is at or very near the top of the list for world living standards .

How do you think that happens ? If we went back to Quackie's world of 1985 , how do you think we would compare then ?
