The nature and content of virtually every post of yours demonstrates the state of denial and confusion you are dealing with. In your opinion, it is your way or the highway.

You have absolutely zero understanding of what people like Marie Bashir and Nick Shehadie have to say about integration.

This from a speech by Marie Bashir:

"Of course many accepted that it was their obligation to fit in, as best they could, to assimilate and most did so readily, with the second generation embracing the culture of their new homeland Australia quite effortlessly"

What she does not reference in her speech (because it opens up a can of worms in the forum she was at), is the problem caused by those who do not accept that their obligation is to fit in and assimilate into our cultural mix.

No, assimilation does not imply it is our way or the highway (like the Skaf's and Khazal's and Muhammad's might endorse), but it does imply an acknowledgment that they live in Australia and that they will obviously embrace our culture and add the best of their culture to help to shape a positive society. Not many here would complain about the addition of Lebanese cuisine to our society.
