China report:
on 14 Jan 2014, China Rare Earth highest management department---the Rare Earths Office Director of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Jia Yin-Song met with Lynas COO Jen Claude Steinmetz and other visitors, the issues about Lynas and Chinese RE enterprises will more share info exchanges and strengthen cooperation in areas such about Environmental Protection and Management, high-end applications etc.
in this meeting, one of Lynas's proposes is Lynas's Rare earth concentrate exports to China.
Jia Yin-Song said: currently China's production capacity of rare earth has oversupply, no matter where mineral's sources, all of products in rare earth smelting and separation will be included in the total management and strict implementation of environmental standards.
