northeastrader, interesting observations and that all sounds promising, but am still worried about where GNC is headed with the share price going down so quickly and so many shareholders bailing out. Plus, from what I have read, things look dismal with their earnings expected to go down, not to mention the drought is affecting grain crops badly.

Also, the chairman Don Taylor said they are going to have to close more than 100 grain handling sites, as funds continue to drain out of the stock. He also said with the sale being blocked - "This will have enduring implications that will be felt not only by our shareholders but by the entire industry".

Anyway, if I had of known the sale wasn't going through, I definitely would have sold when the price was over $12. I just hope there's going to be an upside to this again, as I don't really want to sell now at $8, if there's a chance of it going all the way up again. But who knows, that could be quite a few years away, so maybe I should sell now and be done with it? What is everyone else here doing...holding or selling?
