What I was trying to say and probably did it very poorly was that BRU is very susceptible to shorting. Have a look at FMG where the price doesn't seem to be effected by shorting very much. Are these charts valid? Maybe not.

But you did say "they are quite interesting. Its not rocket science to know that shorting can affect a stock price dramatically."

Shorting does not always negatively effect a price. I am not supporting shorting as it always seems a bit on the dodgy side to me no matter how much you try to make it look good.
