    Further to my lead post, Judith Ireland's report of Scott Morrison's admissions are deeply disturbing:

    "Scott Morrison admits Australia breached Indonesian waters during boat operations
    The Abbott government has admitted Australia breached Indonesian territorial waters during operations to deter asylum seeker boats.
    Speaking at a press conference in Canberra, Immigration Minister Scott Morrison conceded this was against the Australian government's own policy. ..."

    And as if that's not enough, according to Michael Bachelard's article:

    "... Australia has for the first time used one of its new lifeboats to send a group of 56 asylum seekers back to Indonesia in a move that is likely to plunge the bilateral relationship to a new low. ..."
