Thanks for your replies Northeast and FB. Interesting points Northeast, and food for thought. Very wise move for you both, selling before the 'takeover'. FB, you ask how much was I hanging on for, well the $13.20 per share from ADM! Was going to be the best 'Christmas present' ever! HA! I should have been just as wise as you two and sold at $12.50, 'just in case'. As the saying goes, we are all wiser in hindsight, and nothing is a 'sure' thing! However, having said that, from what I have heard about the shady and corrupt ADM, Joe Hockey's decision may have been a wise one, in 'protecting' Australia's interests. But, that is another story (as told in the book 'Rats In The Grain', The Dirty Tricks and Trials of Archer Daniels Midland). Should be a good read, scandals galore!
Anyway, I see mixed reviews on GNC's future, so I get a little anxious about my shares, as I can't afford to lose too much more money on them. I have been reading on the net, where most 'advisors' are recommending to hold on to remaining shares, so maybe I will keep them, and see how it all goes. In the meantime, here's hoping somewhere along the line, one of the 'possibilities' that you mention Northeast, will come to fruition.
