"Why is it ok to cull Roo's and slaughter all other fish but Great Whites should be protected? If they are endangered as they were then fair enough but are they still really an endangered species or is man the endangered one because he wants to use the ocean for recreation."

Debono, I totally agree. We don't "cull" endangered species, and usually "cull" if there is more than what is needed in an area. I am an animal lover and I hate the thought of Kangaroo culls, but i understand the reasoning behind it.

As i kid, I grew up in the Whitsundays. I used to swim in creeks and estuaries and not for one moment did i think of crocodiles. Now, you wouldn't dare swim in those places because crocodiles have been spotted. Crocs have been moving further south over the years.

Culling has its place in the ecosystem and it can ensure we live safely amongst them. I am sure we are smart enough to know if sharks start to become endangered.

Anyway, fish and chips for dinner!
