Parrallax, This is an interesting topic and one that has been on interest to myself for many years. As well as the book of Revelation one must also study the book of Daniel. The two are linked. Probably the author who has studied these books more than any other person alive today is Dr Des Ford. He has two Phd’s and has an eidetic memory. He has spent over 65 years studying the books of Daniel and Revelation and has written thousands of pages on this research. Some of his books include “Daniel”, “The Abomination of Desolation in Biblical Eschatology”,”Crisis! A Commentary on the Book of Revelation, Vols 1-3”, “In the Heart of Daniel: An Exposition of Daniel 9:24-27” + many others. His books are not bedtime reading but if you are interested in a profound and deep interpretation of Revelation than these books are highly recommended. His books are in seminary libraries and scholars frequently quote from them. Dr Ford has not been aligned with any denomination for over 30 years but is associated with a Christian service organisation (GNU). Cheers
